    A Regency villa in Cheltenham's Montpellier quarter, all tall windows and period stonework on the outside, and something considerably darker and moodier once you're through the door. The 61 rooms lean into the Malmaison formula of moody palettes and over-upholstered comfort, which suits the spa-town-with-a-streak crowd just fine. The Bar & Grill runs a seasonal menu built around grass-fed British beef, so dinner doesn't require leaving the building.
