    A grand Georgian villa on the edge of Imperial Gardens, No. 131 is a boutique hotel that has no business being this cool in a town best known for horse racing and Regency architecture. Rooms mix country-house comfort with industrial-edge design, and two restaurants anchor the ground floor, one of them riffing on Tokyo. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels, which feels about right for somewhere that quietly overshoots expectations.
