The roadhouse on the St. Helena highway that turned a working kitchen garden into a wine country institution. Cindy Pawlcyn's casual American grill runs from grilled fish and steaks to a smoked pork sandwich, all pulled through a seasonal, garden-driven lens. The lemon-lime tart, described on the menu itself as "ridiculously tall," delivers on the promise. There's usually a wait at lunch, which says everything about the regulars who keep coming back.
