Six individually designed suites in an 18th-century townhouse, each one a confident collision of bold color and antique furniture. This is Paul Ainsworth's boutique hotel a few blocks up from Padstow harbor, running a little quieter than the waterfront while staying walkable from everything. Breakfast arrives as a hamper, and the occasional sweet from his fine-dining No6 turns up too, which is a gracious way to remind you who's in charge. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
