    The kitchen grinds and nixtamalizes heirloom corn daily, which means every tortilla at this innovative Mexican restaurant starts from scratch in a way that most places quietly gave up on long ago. Chef Janet Becerra, a James Beard Emerging Chef nominee, brings European fine-dining technique to cauliflower al pastor tacos and tuna tostadas with morita Kewpie mayo. The room is cozy and the crowd is lucky to have found it.
