Paprika Café
Mediterranean
Six tables, a tiny back kitchen, and a counter where the chef takes your order and then disappears to make it himself. Paprika Café is a window-service Mediterranean spot a short walk from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and it leans hard into falafel, spanakopita, baba ghanoush, and baklava that happens to be vegan. The Michelin Guide has selected it, which feels about right for a place this unfussy and this good at what it does.
