The courtyard pool and water garden sit at the heart of this luxury hotel, a serene Art Deco composition that somehow stays quiet while Pub Street does its thing just a few minutes' walk away. Designer Bill Bensley brought the 1930s explorer's-club aesthetic, then came back to layer on more, including elephant tusk bar tables. The Pool Suites offer private plunge pools for anyone not quite done escaping. It holds a Michelin Key.
