    Pllek is a casual waterfront restaurant and bar on the NDSM wharf, built from shipping containers and wearing a sandy city beach like it's no big deal. You get there on the free ferry across the IJ, which makes dinner feel faintly like an expedition. The menu is Dutch and low-fuss, the beer and wine come easy, and film screenings and live music keep the evening from needing a plan.
