Townes Van Zandt played this stage, and so did the Chicks at their first Dallas show, which tells you everything about the room's taste. Poor David's is an old-school live music bar, been around forever, built around a serious lineup of country, folk, and acoustic acts. There's a big bar, plenty of space to settle in, and the kind of crowd that actually listens.
