Architect Jaime Morais gave the 18th-century building, once Portugal's Interior Ministry, a lobby anchored by statement furniture and a bold staircase. Rooms run toward polished hardwood and marble, and the square outside means the whole of Lisbon's waterfront is essentially your front step.
