    The wrought-iron arched doorway and mosaic floors set the mood before you've even checked in: this is a properly Art Deco boutique hotel in Chamalières, just outside Clermont-Ferrand. Rooms are quiet and monochromatic with the occasional color note, and a few have separate sitting areas. The continental breakfast, with fresh-squeezed juices and house-made jams, is the kind that makes leaving feel rude.
