A Seventies "artistic" hotel gutted and rebuilt into something industrial-chic and genuinely strange, in the best sense. RedDot is a design hotel in central Taichung, packed with contemporary art, unusual furniture, and textures that fight each other just enough to stay interesting. Rooms pull back from the spectacle a little, but the Nespresso machines and Toto washlets suggest the team knows comfort matters too. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels.
