Restaurant 1950
Modern Vegetarian
A former piggery with high ceilings, hanging herb boxes, and a Michelin-starred kitchen feeding no more than twelve people at once. Simon Tress runs a vegetarian set menu that changes four times a year, with everything except the salt sourced within 25 kilometers. Small cards arrive with each course to explain the provenance. The room is deliberately convivial, the service informal, and the whole thing feels less like a restaurant than someone's very well-fed living room.
