Saketokoro Tanaka
Japanese
A seafood izakaya where the sourcing story runs through every dish: the chef spent time working at a fishmonger's to understand fish from the inside out, and still gets his catch from that same shop. The meal opens with soup and sashimi, then loosens into your own choosing. Octopus, tilefish, tekka-maki, squid ink yakisoba, each prepared in the style the fish seems to call for. Casual, fish-obsessed, and the kind of place that ends the meal exactly where it started.
