A wine barrel doing duty as the digestif table sets the tone at this intimate fine dining room in Bilk, where the chef comes out to walk you through each course personally. The seasonal set menu runs four to seven courses, or you can go à la carte if commitment feels like too much. The wine list leans German and French, the cooking draws on the classics without being enslaved to them, and the terrace is a genuine reason to visit in summer.
