Smoke is the organizing principle here, used with enough restraint that you notice its absence when a dish doesn't need it. Smoked Room holds two Michelin stars and seats a handful of people around a Japanese-style counter facing the kitchen, which is either intimate or nerve-racking depending on how you feel about eye contact with your chef. Two omakase menus built on lightly smoked and charcoal-grilled seasonal ingredients, with wine pairings for each.
