    Six rooms above one of Belgrade's five Smokvica restaurants, this B&B sits in a protected cultural monument near the old Skadarlija quarter. The building was designed by Serbia's first female architect, which the neighborhood is happy to remind you of. Breakfast happens on an outdoor terrace in summer, Republic Square is a short walk, and the logic of rolling downstairs for dinner rather than hunting the city is hard to argue with.
