    The "no news, no shoes" policy is literal: shoes are collected at arrival and returned only at departure. This private-island resort in the Maldives' Baa Atoll is accessible only by seaplane, and once you land, bicycles are the transport and outdoor bathrooms are standard. Villas disappear into dense jungle, butlers are around the clock, and the organic gardens feed restaurants scattered across the island. It holds a spot on the World's 50 Best Hotels list.
