The restaurant occupies a former section of Graz's old city wall, and the vaulted medieval ceiling left intact above modern clean-lined furniture is a combination that shouldn't work but does. A regional Austrian dining room near the Hauptplatz, it runs Styrian Alpine beef, veal schnitzel, and charcoal-grilled steaks through a seasonal menu. The inner courtyard terrace fills up fast in good weather, and the team actually knows the wine list.
