A restaurant dug into the side of the Schlossberg, a steep rocky hill at the center of Graz, with a terrace that looks out over the whole city. The building is an old winegrower's house, and dinner is a single surprise menu, five or seven courses, served to everyone at 7pm, so the kitchen is very much in charge. Mediterranean cooking, elegant and precise. Getting here is half the fun: funicular, mountain lift, or a hike up the stone steps.
