    Tanja Grandits holds two Michelin stars and has built a creative fine-dining restaurant inside a handsome Basel villa where flowers, leaves, and color are as central to the cooking as heat. The kitchen folds Asian and Mediterranean thinking together without announcing either too loudly. A nine-course menu runs in the evenings, with a shorter lunch option, and the sommelier has the cellar to back up whatever pairing conversation you want to start.
