    The rooms are soundproofed, the blackout curtains are serious, and the whole monumental minimalism of the place seems designed to make you forget Kaohsiung exists outside it. This luxury hotel in the city's heart runs an open-air infinity pool, a sauna, and a gym alongside restaurants including a teppanyaki and kaiseki counter worth staying in for. Sleep here and expect to feel very deliberately cut off from everything.
