    The lobby starts on the 18th floor, which tells you something about the building's ambitions. This sleek hotel in Shinbashi fills its floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Imperial Palace, Hibiya Park, and the Tokyo skyline in every direction. Rooms run compact and calm, dressed in washi paper and patterned carpets that nod to forests and coastlines. The cherry blossoms outside in spring are, predictably, not accidental.
