The George

A traditional pub in the heart of the Peak District where food waste gets fed into a machine called Greedy George and comes out the other side as compost for the kitchen garden. The team behind The George has turned sustainable pub-keeping into something closer to a vocation, running an allotment, growing produce for the menu, and finding uses for beer-line chemicals that would surprise most landlords.
