Painted-on chandeliers and trompe l'oeil fireplaces set the tone at this Tsim Sha Tsui design boutique hotel, which is essentially a very well-executed joke about luxury hotels that also functions as a luxury hotel. The cartoonish mock antiques and aggressive gold paint are the point, not an accident. Service is solid, the location in Kowloon works, and the rooms come with smartphones included. It is hilarious and the LCD televisions still work fine.
