    Penhaligon's toiletries, marble bathrooms with heated towel bars, and Kit Kemp's early design eye: this South Kensington townhouse hotel doesn't hide what it is. The rooms are all different, richly done without crossing into fussy, and the televisions are tastefully tucked away. The V&A is practically next door, South Ken tube is steps away, and the kind of guests who care about both tend to fill the place.
