The lamb galouti kebab and the Mangalorean chicken are the nudge to skip the familiar and follow the chef's lead. Pravaas is a contemporary Indian restaurant where Shilpa Dandekar draws on regional cooking from across the subcontinent and adds her own angle to each dish. The room is clean and understated, deliberately so, keeping attention where the kitchen wants it. Butter chicken is on the menu, but the more interesting moves are elsewhere.
