    The plasterwork and fountain-dotted streetscape of Country Club Plaza sits just outside the door, which sets the tone: this is a boutique hotel that leans hard into Old World atmosphere without apologizing for it. Preserved original details from the 1920s share space with modern conveniences, and the in-house restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza, handles the contemporary American side of things for guests who'd rather not wander far.
