    KPF's glass facade borrows the silhouette of Suzhou's layered tile roofs and folding screens, so the hotel reads as local before you've even walked in. Silk wall panels and hand-worked lattice carry that same logic through the 190 rooms, which face out over the city. The indoor pool has the hush of a garden courtyard, and Lingering Garden is a short walk away for anyone who wants the genuine article.
