    A white marble bar with glass shelving draws the eye the moment you walk into this hotel cocktail bar on the upper floor of the Blythswood Square. Red velvet seating and a long chandelier set the tone, which is somewhere between grand and genuinely comfortable. Waiters bustle between the white columns with the quiet urgency of people who mean it. Difford's Guide awards it five stars, which in cocktail-bar terms is the whole stack.
