A neoclassical building on Mitropoleos street, this boutique hotel was designed by Ernst Ziller, the architect whose fingerprints are all over 19th-century Athens, and the restoration takes that legacy seriously. Rooms are compact, with parquet floors, high ceilings, and marble rainfall showers. The real draw is the rooftop terrace, which sits close enough to the Acropolis that you feel slightly rude not looking up. The Plaka is steps away.
