1. The Dolli at Acropolis

    A Forbes Four Star hotel in the middle of Plaka where you can watch the Acropolis from your bed, which honestly makes the whole "alarm clock" concept feel absurd. The neoclassical building is elegant without trying too hard, marble floors and high ceilings doing the heavy lifting. The rooftop restaurant with panoramic views draws guests who've barely unpacked, and the pool is small but exactly what you need after a full day of ruins.
