    Wood-fired cooking takes its cue from the annual burning of Mt Wakakusa, the hillside that looms just outside this intimate auberge at the foot of the mountain. The Nara countryside drives the menu, with producers and growing regions noted alongside each dish as a kind of quiet thank-you. The name, borrowed from the Italian for mutual understanding, sets the mood. It holds a Michelin star.
