An 18th-century shipowner's mansion on La Rochelle's old port, restored into an eleven-room boutique hotel with Art Deco lines and a maritime sensibility running through every detail. The team behind it also runs a three-Michelin-starred restaurant a few blocks toward the water, so the culinary thinking carries over here too. Service is personal without being suffocating. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
