The name isn't a metaphor: Wineglass Bay really does curve into a near-perfect arc of white sand framed by pink granite peaks inside Freycinet National Park. Getting there requires a hike, which is most of the reason it still looks like no one has touched it. Ranked among the World's 50 Best Beaches, it's as photogenic from the ridge above as it is at the waterline, and the sheltered shape keeps the water unusually calm.
