Woo Lae Oak
Korean
Woo Lae Oak has been around forever, and its Pyongyang-style naengmyeon is the reason locals still queue. The cold noodle broth is built from Hanwoo foreshank, simmered for hours and seasoned with little more than salt and soy sauce, producing something spare and deeply savoury. The bulgogi draws its own following. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, this is a no-frills Korean institution where the diners packed in at every hour are not there by accident.
