Académie

A sculpted coat of arms and a listed courtyard mark the entrance to this boutique hotel tucked into the cobbled streets of Vieux Lyon. The building is old enough that the beamed ceilings and arched stone doorways aren't decorative choices, they're just what was there. Rooms run small, but parquet floors and wood panelling make them feel considered rather than compromised. No restaurant, though a cocktail bar is attached, and the neighborhood more than covers the rest.
