    A cluster of centuries-old whitewashed villas perched above Fira's caldera, Aigialos is a small boutique hotel where the décor skews toward original period antiques rather than the usual linen-and-concrete minimalism Santorini has made its signature. Marble floors, balconies facing the Aegean, and rooms that feel genuinely old because they are. A small shared pool and round-the-clock room service keep it from feeling too much like a museum.
