A narrow alley in Karaköy leads to a fourth-floor ocakbaşı where the real draw is the open fire and a tandoori oven doing serious work on lamb, beef, and smoke-blackened aubergine. Meze and halva keep things traditional on either side of the grill. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand, and on a warm evening with a Bosphorus breeze cutting through, it's not hard to see why the tables fill fast.
