    All-white exterior, movable window screens, and a riverside promenade position that makes the building read as public landmark as much as hotel. Altis Belém is a boutique luxury hotel in Belém, and it wears the hyper-modern Iberian playbook hard: plush linens against dark wood, zero-privacy bathtubs, waterfront views. A rooftop pool, an indoor spa pool, and terrace bar at sunset round out a stay that doesn't leave much reason to leave.
