    Breakfast under vaulted ceilings and chandeliers sets the tone at this 37-room boutique hotel, tucked into a protected medieval building in Bratislava's old town. Stone walls, wooden beams, and arched hallways are original features rather than decor choices, and rooms look out toward the Franciscan Church or, from the apartments, across to Bratislava Castle. Evening drinks in the Library Bar, which feels reassuringly nineteenth century, round things off nicely.
