Baannok takes the characteristically sweet Northeastern cooking and dials it back just enough for a wider audience without losing the herbs and spice that give Isan food its edge. The wok-fried noodle dish with river prawn is a regular order for a reason. Book ahead, the room doesn't absorb walk-ins gracefully.
