Bacucco d'Oro
Abruzzo Italian
A winding uphill road from the coast leads to this family-run trattoria, where the terrace looks back out over the sea. The menu is almost entirely meat, rooted in Abruzzo tradition: arrosticini, barbecued cuts, fragrant mushrooms, and one token salted cod for the outliers. Save room for the pizza dogge, a layered dessert of sponge, custard, and Alkermes liqueur that has absolutely nothing to do with pizza. The wine list stays local.
