A standing-room cocktail bar tucked inside the Herbis Osaka luxury mall, Bar Hiramatsu pulls between two registers: serious Japanese whisky poured with the reverence you'd expect, and Ginza-style seasonal fruit cocktails that read more like dessert. The bar snacks lean surprisingly meaty, running from salami to haggis, which is not a sentence you expect to type about Osaka. It earned a spot on The 50 Discovery list.
