This is a casual New American restaurant where the small-plates menu leans hard into California without apologizing for it, grilled avocado included. The cooking has a playful streak, cornmeal blini piped with whipped cheese foam and grated cured egg yolk being the kind of dish that sounds like a joke until it arrives and isn't.
