    Herzog & de Meuron adapted this former brewery and concert hall into a boutique hotel, and the 1925 bones are still doing most of the work. The 45 rooms have a Bauhaus-adjacent warmth that most contemporary designers spend careers chasing. The Festsaal still hosts concerts and film screenings, so on any given night the lobby fills with people who aren't guests, which keeps things pleasantly unprecious. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
