Bratwursthäusle
Bavarian German
The beechwood grill in the center of the room is doing most of the talking at this old stone sausage house on Marktplatz. Nuremberg's famous Rostbratwürste have been made fresh each morning in the on-site butchery and served here for longer than anyone can reasonably imagine, with sauerkraut and potato salad as the only logical companions. A draught beer is essentially non-negotiable. The terrace fills fast in summer, which tells you everything about the locals' priorities.
