    Ten floating lodges sit out on the lake, reached by electric boat from the shore, which tells you most of what you need to know about this luxury hotel just inland from Biarritz. The château itself dates from the 1930s, all canopied beds and garden views. Back on land there's a spa, a pool, a chocolaterie, and a cocktail bar glittering with chandeliers. The pontoon bar with its white umbrellas handles the daytime.
