    A 980-foot bridge connects this Forbes Five Star resort to Jumeirah Bay Island, a seahorse-shaped sliver where the city's commercial noise goes quiet. Arabescato marble and coral-patterned brise-soleil set the Italian luxury house tone before you've unpacked. Villas, beach club, marina, yacht club, and six dining venues fill the grounds, so leaving the island is mostly theoretical.
