A 28-room boutique hotel perched at the tip of its own five-acre peninsula between Monaco and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Cap Estel is the Riviera for people who find the Riviera exhausting. Period antiques and Louis XVI chairs share space with bright minimalist whites and blue; terraces look straight out over the Mediterranean. Dining, the beach, a spa, an indoor pool, a cinema, a piano bar: there's genuinely no reason to leave, which appears to be the whole point.
